„Cry to Me“

By the way, I know the title sounds sad, but it’s actually a really good song. I recommend you listen to it (if you haven’t already). Okay, so, school is going good. Nothing out of the ordinary. Next week our school is doing another week trip where we get to choose what we want to do. I signed up for (with much persistence from my person in charge if me at school) for the UNESCO trip which is where we visit all these places in Switzerland that are under UNESCO. Or something like that. My host sister and next host sister are going too so it’s going to be really fun. And two girls from my class are going. I don’t know if I mentioned this but here in Switzerland there is only one class that goes to all the classes together. So there aren’t four different classes like there is in Canada (all with different people) the people stay the same here. So I’ll post how that is going later. Maybe after or during. I don’t know. I don’t think I mentioned this but I joined the swim club here in Burgd

"Peaceful Easy Feeling" Eagles

Warning: Lots of photos in this one. So... I'm sick. Monday I have to go back to school which is not going to be fun. So I think I have to fill you in in a bit of what I've done in my holidays. So... last week I went to the Alps with my host family and we stayed in a cabin that was so cute. It wasn't that big but it was a really good time. We left Saturday (September 28) just me and my host dad because my host family got a new dog and my host mom and sister had a training course Saturday and Sunday afternoon, so they joined us Sunday night. Roman (my host dad) and I played a lot of games and I won most...actually all of them. Saturday we had to find the cabin. There is no town near it and the roads don't have names and there are no addresses where the cabin is. All we had was GPS coordinates. It took us about three hours to get to the town Vrin where we borrowed Edna's older brother's car and drove up to the cabin. We got to around the main location but there w

"The Logical Song" Supertramp (September 25)

I know I haven`t posted in a while. I`ve been busy but not busy, weird I know but it`s true. School has been going good. I think I`m dropping French because the class is WAY ahead of my understanding of french. I`m on holidays right now and have been for the last week. So last Wednesday I went to Lugano (the Italian part of Switzerland) with my host sister and we went hiking. So Wednesday we had to catch the 5:53 AM train to... somewhere, I can`t remember where, so I got up at 4 in the morning even though it only took half an hour to get ready. So I watched two episodes of Friends before my host sister came down stairs and we started to make our lunch. At 5:40 my host sister started panicking a bit because for some reason she was saying we were going to miss our train which left in 13 minutes. As we were taking our bikes to the train station, which was 3 minutes away, she told me our train was leaving at 5:43. I started to understand why she was panicking. We missed the first train an

"Stand By Me" (September 14 &15)

Okay...so I’m a bit tired right now. I didn’t have any classes today because I have a French class every other week which is my only class in the morning and then I had a physics class today but they were doing a test so I climbed that hill for nothing. So I went biking and this is what it looks like from where I’m sitting right now: (It is a panorama so it doesn’t exactly look like this) So this weekend I went to a Rotary weekend where we had to bring a dessert from our home country. The night before (Friday night) I had Rachel the other Canadian over at my house and we made Nanaimo bars. It was...interesting. The custard was the thing that really got us. Our friend Sophie came over a bit later. We were up till about 1 making them. We only made one batch too so you can already tell it wasn’t so good. We slept in till about 9:15 and then we had to get ready. We thought we were going to miss our train but we didn’t. We just caught the bus to take us to the train. When we got to t
